The World Central Kitchen Cookbook

I had the great fortune to be part of the small creative group that joined the World Central Kitchen team for a week knocking out imagery for recipes that went into their extraordinary cookbook. This cookbook not only contains styled imagery of the recipes written by chefs from around the world but also photo journalistic images take at various locations WCK has served food. Many places have been hit by natural disasters or are refugee camps with people fleeing war or brutal regimes. The proceeds from this book go directly to World Central Kitchen (led by celebrity Chef José Adres) in order for them to continue doing this incredibly important work.

I utilized props (many of which were sourced from around the world on our travels) as well as surfaces from Prop Up Shop’s collection in order to set each scene as authentically to the place where the cuisine comes from.
