Overview
When life offered lemons, Giulietta Pinna created Limonata - an ode to beauty, wonder and the art of living. Since its inception in 2016, Limonata has evolved into a boutique creative studio and prop house, where every project is an intimate collaboration. Together with my husband, branding designer Nate Bachmann, we draw on a shared devotion of travel, handmade vintage goods, and nature; infusing our work with the textures, colors, and stories they inspire. Curiosity is by far our most treasured ingredient, so we stir it generously into the bespoke designs and visual narratives we craft for our clients. The result: creations that are tailored, joyful and entirely your own.

Art Direction is a critical first step for any successful photoshoot and/or design project. Our process begins with interviewing our clients about the project at least 2 months in advance of the deadline or photoshoot. From that moment on, it’s our job to fully understand your truest vision, story, and longterm goals for the project.
We then develop a bespoke & detailed shot list, aesthetic plan, color palette as well as prop, model, wardrobe & floral references per shot, a project timeline & coordinate all details to the project’s team.
We’re proud to say that the majority of projects that we’ve art directed have landed in major national publications, online and in print - the most notable being featured on House Beautiful’s June ‘24’s cover.
Photoshoots can be a significant investment; Art Direction provides you with the peace of mind that you’re getting exactly what you want to represent your amazing project and labor of love. This is why many of our clients opt to hire us for art direction in addition to day-of styling.

For 10 years, Giulietta has curated treasures, designed custom sets and developed visual stories that linger.
Often collaborating with a broader team which include photographers, videographers, wardrobe stylists, food stylists, makeup artists, models and other talents, Giulietta’s goal is to translate her client’s creative essence through the curation of objects, textiles, florals and final touches.
While Giulietta has some of her own styling techniques, the most rewarding projects are ones that allow her to fully distill her client’s vision, style and aesthetic into a unique visual story that is theirs, and theirs alone - this is typically accomplished through Art Direction, which Giulietta also offers in addition to styling.
Whether she’s working for an emerging or internationally recognized brand, designer, restaurant, product or publication, Giulietta also frequently seeks and integrates one-of-a-kind handmade, artisanal, vintage and worldly objects in her work.

A few years ago, Giulietta expanded her services to include interior decorating for permanent installation for interior designers; adding a final curated edge to their work.
Working with designers 3+ months in advance of installation, Giulietta absorbs the designer’s vision and presents a curation of decor, art, textiles, kitchenware, accessories, etc. After approvals, the sourcing begins!
While every project requires a careful, calculated approach, Giulietta believes that the most successful, interiors are ones that incorporate one-of-a-kind handmade, artisanal and/or vintage goods.

Over the last few years, Limonata has advised an international food brand on procuring props, surfaces, equipment and storage solutions for their in-house photo studio which captures content for 13 globally recognized food products.
We worked closely with the brand’s US Creative Director & Art Director to create tailored set design & propping directives for the studio team as well as buying lists & organizational solutions for each brand; ensuring that each label would be shot with consistent authenticity.
Allow us to expand your brand’s visual success through customized curation and studio advisement.
